Where?:

Adehye Hall Forecourt

Entrepreneurship training forms an integral part of the curriculum of the B.Ed Home Economics programme. The purpose is to offer the students the opportunity to develop the mind-set and the know-how necessary to make self-employment an alternative career choice. At level 300, VOTEC students take two courses in entrepreneurship; one in each semester. In the first semester, students learn to understand entrepreneurship and the role entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs play in the economy and society. Then in the second semester, they learn how to become entrepreneurs by utilizing the knowledge and skills they have acquired in often courses taken in their areas of specialization (Food & Nutrition or clothing and Textiles). It is expected that they set up and manage real companies and account for their operations by the end of the semester. This year, 20 companies have been set up and are operating. On April 15th 2016, companies will exhibit their wares and products at the forecourt of Adehye Hall from 8 a.m - 4p.m. On sale will be assortees dishes and clothing and accessories. Tickets are already on sale. You may call 0332091194 for a ticket or come to the Adehye forecourt on the 15th of April, 2016 to buy a product in support of the students' effort.
